I am so wonderfully consistent that I feel 2 Corinthians 8:11 "Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means." NIV, was written specifically for me. Good finishing. Good finishing. Good finishing. It is so easy to start things, even to start things well does not take really too much patience or character, but FINISHING. Now that is something totally different. How many of us have minds full of good intentions but our grave stones written with the legend "He never quite got around to finishing what he started". Hmmmm I had all the best intentions in the world to post some of my random thoughts in the hope that something may inspire and even ignite someone. Personal Post

Life has been strange of late. After some difficult times in the church we came to Ballymena to minster in, we moved on and have been attending another fellowship. They have been such a tremendous blessing in our lives and have really looked after us in what has been a tremendously testing, but blessed time. Tracy and I have seen the faithfulness of God in ways which we knew in theory, that is the Bible told us. but now we know for ourselves that so many of His promises are true. many days we have woken up and have literally had to trust him for our daily bread, but every night we have gone to bed having had our "three square meals". Praise God for His faithfulness. As I write this, I am celebrating my 38th birthday, I am still unemployed,but I continue to be amazed by what we see Christ doing in and through our friends and family around us. We are moving into a house next week that a wonderful Christian couple has given to us RENT FREE for a year whilst Trevor goes to work i

SUCCESS!!! MIRACLE!!! ME!!!! I did it! I finally did it! Through the clouds of my mind and my own (indulgent) low self esteem in this area of my private universe, I came up with a success. Now this was not a universe shattering, Sky News Headlines sort of success, but that is all relative anyway. Picture the scene with me as memories of childhood came flooding back as all the different aromas clouded in on my senses. Pictures of the old kitchen with the clothes pulley hanging down the centre of the ceiling, freshly washed clothes still soaking wet. Sounds of brothers and sister playing safely outside our tenement block. We lived in a middle flat and we had a sort of verandah next door to the kitchen which was halved with Mr & Mrs Woods next door. The times we had there growing up.
